Cynthia Richards Wallace

CYNTHIA RICHARDS WALLACE, soprano and assistant conductor for Amor Artis, has performed with the finest choral groups in the U.S. both as soloist and as a member of the ensemble, including the Roger Wagner Chorale, Norman Luboff Choir, Musica Sacra, and Pomerium, among others. A specialist in music of the baroque and classical eras and a frequent oratorio soloist, she also performs works ranging from the Renaissance to the 21st century. She has sung as soloist in concerts throughout Europe including Paris, Dublin, Zurich, Stockholm and Amsterdam. She has recorded on seven labels and can be heard performing Somary's Te Deum on Albany Records and in Mozart's Coronation Mass on Lyrichord.

Megan Friar

MEGAN FRIAR, alto, is familiar to American audiences as a soloist in opera, musical theater, and oratorio. She has performed with the American national tour of "The Phantom of the Opera" and has sung as a concert soloist with the Dave Brubeck Quartet at Carnegie Hall. She often sings in performances with her husband jazz pianist Ron Drotos, and serves on the faculty of the Fairbanks (Alaska) Summer Music Festival. A featured soloist on many recordings, including Stravinsky's "Russian Peasant Songs" with Robert Craft conducting, she has appeared on Garrison Keillor's radio show, the David Letterman Show and "The Guiding Light."

Jonathan Goodman

JONATHAN GOODMAN, tenor, began his career performing with the Grammy-award winning male ensemble Chanticleer. As a soloist he has appeared with the New York Collegium, American Symphony Orchestra, the  Waverly Consort, the Orchestra of St. Luke's  Voices of Ascension and the Mark Morris Dance Group among others. As resident tenor with the New York Vocal Ensemble, he has recorded vocal quartets by Brahms and Schubert on the Arabesque label. For his Carnegie Hall debut in 2002, he performed in Samuel Barber's Antony and Cleopatra with the American Composers Orchestra. Recent solo apperances include the evangelist in Bach's Saint John Passion and the title role in Handel's Judas Maccabeus

Michael Steinberger

MICHAEL STEINBERGER, tenor, made his New York Philharmonic debut with Audra McDonald in Kurt Weill's The Seven Deadly Sins. Recent solo appearances include Bach's Saint Matthew Passion, works by Charpentier with the New York Collegium, the evangelist in Bach's Christmas Oratorio with Vox Vocal Ensemble and Mozart's Coronation Mass with Amor Artis in Saint Petersburg, Russia and Tallinn, Estonia. He is a founding member of the a cappella sextet Equal Voices, which performs a wide range of styles from madrigal to jazz with a special focus on contemporary classical music. He is often sought out as a clinician and ensemble coach both here and abroad.

Richard Holmes

RICHARD HOLMES, bass-baritone, has been a principal artist with many American opera houses. His repertoire spans more than 140 roles, ranging from Handel to contemporary works by Harbison, Argento and Britten. He is well known for enchanting performances of Gilbert and Sullivan operettas, as well as for outstanding renditions in oratorios ranging from Bach's Saint John Passion to Brahms' German Requiem. Recent solo appearances include performances with the Dessoff Choirs, Philharmonia Virtuosi, the Sioux City Symphony, the Connecticut Early Music Festival and the Buxton Festival in England, where he received glowing reviews for his performance as Captain Corcoran in H.M.S. Pinafore.
